Jacqueline is an amazing wedding planner in California. I was thrilled when she asked me to shoot her wedding La Badia di Orvieto in Italy. A hotel that began construction in the 6th century and still displays its ancient underpinnings. While the wedding day gave us a good dose of “good luck” rain, we were able to adapt and use a lot of the weathered structures as both cover and backdrop. We wound our way through the ancient pathways that overlooked Orvieto, a walled city that sits atop a hill. Then through the olive groves and ancient ruins. The ceremony had one of the most breathtaking views I have ever seen. The day ended in a candle lit reception with Jacquelin and John’s closest friends and family. This wedding was featured in Brides.
