As we approached the private cove in one of the seemingly endless islands around Palawan in our Banca boat, I couldn’t help question the beauty of the place. It was almost too perfect. This particular tiny beach had one palm tree and a coconut sitting on the ultra soft white sand. It was something that seemed created on a movie set, not real life. Once landed, our small deck crew made us a fresh seafood lunch before we set off to shoot. We sailed from one random island to the next. Every once in a while, I’d put the camera down and cool off in the clear, turquoise waters. It was a bit more vacation than assignment. This will always be one of my favorite memories in my career as a photographer. 

I couldn’t help question the beauty of the place. It was almost too perfect.
